I’m trying to raise awareness around cervical cancer, which is the second biggest cancer affecting women in India. I believe that everyone deserves access to good healthcare. I’ve led workshops at Shree Maharani Chimnabai Stree Udyogalaya, focusing on educating less fortunate women and students about this important issue. One of the highlights for me was helping to organize a free PAP smear test camp at Maharaja Sayajirao University, sponsored by the Maharani Shanta Devi Hospital Trust and SMCSU. It felt amazing to provide free tests to students and staff, making healthcare accessible for so many people.
But my commitment doesn’t stop there. I’m also involved in other social activities and actively advocate for women’s rights. Recently, I participated in a silent march demanding justice in the Kolkata health worker rape case, which was organized by SMCSU alongside my mom, HH Radhikaraje Gaekwad.
Being part of that event made me realize how important it is for us to raise our voices for those who can’t.
To really connect with the women I aim to help, I even enrolled in tailoring classes at SMCSU. It’s been a valuable experience for me, allowing me to understand the challenges the students face and work towards improving their facilities.
Through all these initiatives, I strive to champion women’s health, rights, and empowerment. I’m grateful to be able to contribute to my community and support others in their journeys.
